A research arm of the World Bank has produced a comprehensive report on the size of the grey-market virtual world economy in developing countries -- gold farming, power-levelling, object making and so on -- and arrived at a staggering $3 billion turnover in 2009. Ways to spend more money on WoW
Somehow Murlocs developed some kind of cult status out of game as a plush toy. If you’ve ever wanted your own plush Murloc then soon you can have your wish. It’s the perfect gift for any WoW fan, or as a conversational aid for children who’s vocab consists of the phrase “mrrgrglgrglgrgl”. Less suitable for children are the charms, keyrings and pendants from Mana Princess. Did you install BC and then immediately start replacing your purples with greens that dropped off bullshit trash mobs? Do you even have any idea what I just said? If you answered yes to both of those then you might like our new shirt.
When I installed BC it didn't take long before I started to feel very sorry for anyone who spent a lot of time raiding or PvPing to get high end level 60 gear, seeing as BC suddenly introduced much better green items...

Unzip the files into the directory: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\wow-patch and run the game again. It should un-archive them and patch itself.
(Note that this is the 150mb file which takes you from 1.10 to 1.11, not the other full 450mb beast which is floating around)

Soapbox: World of Warcraft Teaches the Wrong Things is a very interesting article, a lot of which I agree with very strongly.
In particular, his comments on time VS skills, and grouping vs soloing are very relevant. Anyhow, it's an interesting read.
(Also he likes Streetfighter 2, so I'm instantly going to listen to anything he has to say).
