There are a fair few default settings which get changed with this service pack, ie, it will 'update' your system to some more secure settings. If you're behind a proper firewall (ie, a non snake-oil one) then this could cause you more harm than good. Be prepared when you upgrade, or wait for the horror stories to emerge.
