Mac to get actual Outlook in 2010

Hell has frozen over: Microsoft's Mac Business Unit says that the next version of Office for Mac will arrive in 2010 with a genuine Outlook client and better Exchange support.

I think hell froze over when Apple pledged full support for exchange in its Mail and iCal applications under Snow Leopard, and I suspect that's why Microsoft thought they'd better make more of an effort with Mac Office.

Personally, I use(d) entourage extensively and quite liked it, but its exchange support was needlessly complex for the average user.
