Dropbox’s security blunder is a much tweeted subject which is probably expected. Otherwise there’s a large mix of Lulzsec, Bitcoin and Kinect related talk. The Kinect SDK is something which has great potential, even if the first few usages of it don’t seem overly useful. Kinect’s beauty isn’t to do with its power or its accuracy, it’s more to do with what it manages to deliver for the cost of a small consumer device.
Picks for this week – I’m starting to get excited about SW:TOR, so reading about that is good. If you’re a Firefox person then you probably already know about v5, otherwise there’s a range of things that may or may not interest you based on your preferences (Rails people will be keen on the Ubuntu setup post for example). Finally the external code libraries post is interesting because it sets you up for a great discussion about dependency injection and external dependencies in general which always goes down well at parties – right?
