Transformers Universe Beta Starts 'Very Soon' (MMORPG, Posted Tuesday August 9 2011, 1 Tweets, 6 Facebook likes)

My picks this week get the bullet point treatment:

Google+ app gets iPad support – why is it that neither Google+ or Facebook have a native app yet?

Apple offering a buyback program – probably the most eco friendly thing they could do, but also it removes an interesting barrier that’s bound to be preventing people from upgrading.

It’s funny having an intro to iCloud and a horror story about Apple and the Cloud in the same post collection.

The Modern PC turns 30! Yay! Reading the original IBM press release shows that their PR team’s skills have actually gone quite a way backwards in 30 years – they may write a lot more but they say a lot less.

The jQuery wheel scroller plugin looks neat, and the CSS sprite technique for doing funky navigation bars is handy (just add inspiration and creativity and you’re set!).

Finally the thought of a Transformers MMO terrifies me. That is all I can say there.
